English Teaching Jobs in Argentina and Worldwide

Thanks so much for all the help while we were at Íbero TEFL/Spanish School recently.

My wife and I found out about Íbero Language Institute through a Google search of the internet.  We were planning a trip to Paraguay to work in Christian Schools there and really needed a TEFL Certificate to use there and to make money while in country.  I had looked all over the internet at schools both in the US and all of Mexico, Central and South America.  So not only was their location really great for us but also they had a great promotional price going for both TEFL and Spanish (which we needed desperately) together.  So we started emailing them and found them to be both very helpful and friendly.  Not only did they help us with the courses but also found us a nice apartment to stay in within walking distance of the institute.   We found the courses to be very informative and even interesting.  Our professor always worked to keep the class fun as well as very informative.  And he absolutely loves to teach English.  The three teachers that we had in Spanish classes also were great, keeping the class fun and interesting.  And I can’t forget the administrative assistant at the school who does everything from signing you up to finding accommodations and always having some interesting dinner or outing to let us know more about Buenos Aires, or anything else that you need.  Overall, it was a great learning experience and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get a TEFL diploma or to learn Spanish.  Thanks so much, guys. THE MAXIMUM AGE OF APPLICANTS YOU ARE WILLING TO TAKE (CHANCE OF FINDING THEM EMPLOYMENT)

We will accept applicants of any age. There is high demand for English-language instruction in Buenos Aires and any individual with TEFL certification is likely to find work. It is useful, however, for applicants to be aware that most English-language instructors in Buenos Aires work various part-time positions rather than one full-time position. As such, teaching English in Buenos Aires often involves a certain amount of commuting throughout the city. Teachers should have plenty of energy to navigate a bustling urban environment every day.

THE LIKELIHOOD OF FINDING EMPLOYMENT FOR NON DEGREE HOLDERS

Individuals with TEFL certification can easily find work as an English teacher in Buenos Aires, regardless of whether or not they have a university degree.

THE LIKELIHOOD OF FINDING EMPLOYMENT FOR NON NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS

Individuals with near-native fluency in English and TEFL certification can easily find work teaching English in Buenos Aires.

TYPE OF VISA REQUIRED

You do not need a student visa to study at Íbero. Few English teaching jobs require that individuals have a working visa. Most TEFL students at Íbero enter Argentina with a tourist visa and subsequently discuss specific visa requirements  and processes with potential employers.
